Fender Twin Reverb

The Fender concert is an amazing little amp that delivers 60 Watts of sheer power through its one 12 inch speaker. This is of course the combo version. There is also a head version as well. The original amp was redesigned by Paul Rivera in an attempt to compete with Mesa Boogie. As a result it has 2 channels where both actually work at the same time.

A foot switch allows you to go easily between the 2 channels. You can set up a crunchy Rhythm on the first channel and then have a soaring lead sound on the second. The first channel has a bright push pull switch and the second channel a mid boost push pull. This means that it is like having 4 different amps working for you all in one relatively small box.
I have used an electric mandolin with this amp and it produces a superb clear clean sound when compared to a Marshall valve amp. Turning up the gain produces the classic valve over driven sound.
The master Volumes on the front panel mean that over driven sounds can be produced at low volume. There is an effects loop accessed via the back panel with in and out attenuators to get the correct input and output levels. The main output valves are two 6L6's and it has seven 12AX7 preamp valves. Despite its size it one hell of a heavy beast. However, once you have owned one of these amazing amps there is no going back.
